Ad Spending Study for 2005

Outsell recently published their annual Ad Spending Study, based on a survey of 1,200 advertisers in November 2005. Following are a few of their key findings:

  • Search engine ad spending is up 26% over the previous 12 month period, while print and TV/radio are up 3.3% and 2.4% respectively.
  • 80% of advertisers are spending marketing dollars Online.
  • Google is rated more effective than Yahoo! and MSN in keyword ads; and than Yahoo! in contextual ads.
